Why join the Collective
made by a nanny, for nannies
Free to join
There's no cost to apply, to be vetted, or to be matched with families.
Families pay the fee
Our placement fee is paid by the family who hires you, never by you.
You keep 100% of your pay
Your family pays you directly. We never take a cut of your wages.
Matched to your schedule and rate
Tell us the hours, ages and pay you're looking for, and we'll introduce families who fit.
What our vetting involves
thorough, respectful, personal
Step 1
Application
Tell us about your experience, availability and the kind of families you'd love to work with.
Step 2
Phone screen
A friendly call to get to know you and answer any questions you have.
Step 3
Interview
A one-on-one conversation about your experience, your approach to care and your goals.
Step 4
References
We speak with families or employers you've cared for in the past.
Step 5
Work authorization
Confirmation that you're authorized to work in the United States.
Step 6
TrustLine
Registration with California's TrustLine background-check registry, or a current application. Not registered yet? We'll point you in the right direction.
Step 7
CPR & First Aid
Current infant and child CPR and First Aid certification is required. It must come from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association and include an in-person skills check; online-only certificates don't count. You arrange your own certification.
